So as of last week, for the past 5.5 weeks I had been really good about doing Insanity on time. I have completed the program 3 times through so I was like "yeah whoo I got this no problem!"
But then on Thursday I tragically sliced my finger open while cooking. I've done that before but this time was the dumbest because I cut myself so bad that I had to get stitches. TBH the stitches sans anesthesia hurt worse than the cut itself, I guess cos I was anticipating the stitches haha.
You're probably thinking "uhh who cares, it's just a cut on your finger, get back to work." But alas, it is surprisingly difficult to do stuff with my left hand at the moment cos if I jerkily hit my finger against something it hurts and the cut tears a little bit. Sorry for the gross description.
Basically I missed my Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Insanity workouts. And this weekend I will be in Melbourne Friday-Monday (I'm American but currently in Australia so I am just making sure the time difference doesn't mess up when I submit my official photos and whatnot.) So that means I would miss my Friday, Saturday, and Monday workouts because I am staying in a 12 bed hostel there.
Womp womp.
I think instead of beating myself up about my workouts getting all wonky, I'm just going to reschedule.
Today I will go running and do some Blogilates (I highly recommend looking her up on youtube!) And then tomorrow and Wednesday I will do the workouts I missed last week. Then Thursday before going out of town I will do next week's Monday's workout.
This is very wordy but this means that on TUESDAY I will be back on normal Insanity schedule.
I didn't lose any weight over the weekend - but I didn't workout. And I didn't eat so hot - pasta for dinner on both Friday and Saturday and then a burger with fries last night. But my weight remained the SAME. And I would say that is a small victory because normally after the weekend my weight tends to be higher from poor eating habits.
I have officially now gone one week with no sweets and no alcohol and I have 2 friends here who have joined me in that challenge! Their support is amazing and now we only have 3 weeks left to go! Whooo!!
