So I was just snooping around on DietBet and checking out the different setting and saw they save all your official weigh in photos. For some reason that has me all excited about getting things going and hopefully seeing a difference in the near future.
I was feeling extremely discouraged about my weight this last week. After doing really well on my first dietbet, I had knee surgery and had to stay with my parents for a week and half while recovering. Once I was up to an independent hobble I came back home and signed up for a new diet bet challenge. When I weighed in I was blown away. My number was higher than my original dietbet weight. I was so upset. I'm thankful I had already signed up for a Dietbet challenge or this would have completely crushed me. However, knowing i'm going to have to step on the scale and send in a pic at the end of the month has me buckling down instead of giving in.
I still can't exercise which has been and continues to be a major problem with my weight loss mentality. I have always been an athlete with horrible food habits. I could get away with it because of all the calories I was burning. Now it's crazy how careful I have to be with what I'm eating and how unforgiving the scale is when I slip up. (Although let's be honest a slip up for me is not one square of Dove chocolate, it ends up being the whole bag!) That being said I think it is a positive that I'm having to really step back and try to figure this out. I was really proud with the first DietBet because I accomplished that weight loss with healthy eating and walking as my only form of excercise. I went crazy with food at the parentals, my mom is a big food pusher, and my will power is non existant when it comes to her goody making abilities, but I know I have to change that and figure out a way to not completely go crazy just because yumminess is available.
First week of my new DietBet I have had some setbacks but I'm really looking forward to proving to myself I can do this. The hosts are also doing this as a two part back to back Dietbet challenge deal, which could possibly lead to a big 6 month challenge. I'm really hoping to lose 30-40lbs before I am cleared for volleyball again. That will go a long way in helping with knee and preventing any further injuries.
Since my spending costs are down without volleyball leagues, tournaments, and gym fees I'm splurging and ordered Personal Trainer Food. Curious to see how it helps in the weight loss process!
