Turns out I needed more motivation. I was working on losing weight before I got married in August-loads of people staring you down n a wedding dress is a great motivator. Then going on a honeymoon and finally not having to care about people looking at you for a life event means the weight came right back. I thought the honeymoon weight was a temporary thing but 2 months later and no budge in the bulge must mean it's not. Apparently, daily life things like job stress, moving, and the seemingly endless list of things to do other than work out/worry about what I eat will do that. For so long I've just wanted to get to a healthy weight, always 10-20 pounds away, so another motivator to keep trying can't hurt.

If you commit to achieving that healthy weight AND engage here on DietBet (post regularly, read / comment on other peoples' post and activities, log fitness activities and weigh-ins, etc.), you'll find it a supportive, worthwhile community. That sense of community can make the difference between "wanting to get to a healthy weight" and actually getting there!
Again -- welcome!
