In light of a quickly approaching final weigh-in, I have decided to go all in with motivation from Dr. Moreno and his recommendations for the first cycle of his "diet" plan. It's not complicated. Eat only lean proteins, low-sugar fruits, probiotic foods and healthy fats that serve the purpose of fueling your body. Going to get in a cardio workout each day for the remainder of the time & hopefully I can see my goal number on my scale next Wednesday. 

 

Cycle 1 - Accelerate Cycle:

o   Mobilize fat stores and flush water and toxins from system

o   Increase protein to go into fat-burning mode

o   Reduce carbs to allow body to tap into storage fat

o   Correct improper digestion

o   Diet consists of:

  • Lean proteins, vegetables, low-sugar fruits, probiotic foods, and good fats

o   Do not eat fruit after 2:00pm. Eating carbs in the evening makes it harder for your body to burn them.

Lean Proteins:

Fish
Salmon, Sole, Flounder, Catfish, Tilapia, Canned light tuna

Poultry
Chicken breast, Turkey breasts, ground turkey, eggs (2 eggs=1 svg), egg whites (4eggwhites=1 svg)

Cleansing Vegetables:

Artichoke/ hearts, asparagus, bell peppers, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, green beans, kale, leeks, lettuce, mushrooms, okra, onions, parsley, scallions, spinach, tomatoes, watercress

Low-sugar Fruits:

Apples, berries, grapefruit, oranges, peaches, pears, plums, prunes, red grapes

Probiotic foods:

Yogurt (greek, plan, low fat, sugar-free), Kefir, Yakult, cottage cheese, tempeh (4oz=1 svg),

Friendly Fats:

Olive oil, flaxseed oil
