Never did I think that the things I learned playing drinking games in college would benefit me now during a diet.

One of the things said in numerous books, articles, or anything health related is about drinking enough water. I, like many others, struggle with drinking enough water daily. I mean seriously it has no flavor or taste so how awesome is that, it's not. So since I started carb cycling after reading both of Chris Powells books I have been vigilant in drinking my daily water.

Powells book's say to consume half your body weight in water. Which for me is about 150 oz of water daily which is way more then a gallon of water. He also says that if you struggle to drink water to take 10 sips before you put your cup down.

So since I am not a fan of drinking water it is go big or go home with the 10 sips. Which usually ends up being chugs and more then 10. I drink out of a 20 oz mug 8 or more times a day(I have started to lose count since I only drink water). Usually a chug down a mug then drink slower on a second specially if it when I am eating. I do tend to drink more in the morning because I have also read that you should drink water after you wake up because your body goes without water for 7 to 8 hours which during your awake hours it goes without water maybe 1 to 2 hours. So basically we all wake up dehydrated, yippe.

ANYWAY......

In a way its like a weird healthy drinking game only no one is cheering you on and you don't get drunk, but you still have to pee constantly. Oh well, I am ok with the healthy drinking game since it's end result is a healthier me and no hangover.

Keeping it moving as always. :-)
