The scale finally moved this morning. I've been going back and forth the last 2 weeks or so, up and down the same 2 pounds. This is after about 5 weeks of being back to healthy eating and moving more. I think my body had to readjust. This morning it let go over a pound. And I feel it. I felt lighter before I even got on the scale.
Usually I putter around the house enough while I'm working that I can get most of my steps in. But today I was tied to my desk with one conference call after another. I did get out for a walk after it was all said and done. My total steps are still down from my 5k-6k goal, but it's slowly going up as I continue to putter tonight.
The great thing about the walk today is even though my hips really hurt, my back was only a little sore. I'll take that as a victory! The goal this week is to up the walks from 20 minutes last week to 25 this week. And keep upping it by 5 minutes each week. Subject to the resulting pain, of course.
Now to keep this downward trend going!
