I got up around the same time today, except with a bit more energy. I can't say that I was so energetic that I sprang out of bed. No, I saw no sunshine and it was too cold outside of the blankets, but when I got up, I was getting things done quicker than normal. Instead of cereal for breakfast, I made a breakfast wrap with egg, cheese, sauteed zucchini, and lettuce. I noticed my husband took the last of the stew from dinner, so I also ended up chopping veges for a salad. By the time I was done, I had 15 minutes to be out the door and hadn't even gotten dressed, yet. I drank some O.J., threw breakfast and lunch in a bag with an apple, got dressed, brushed my teeth and hair, and even marked down my servings on my DASH diet check list so my husband would know what I could still have for dinner.
After lunch, I felt bloated and my stomach hurt. It will take a while for my stomach to adjust to having so much fiber again. That's something that I need to continue increasing in my diet, as fiber does help with weight loss.
At the end of the work day, I got a text from my husband. He wanted me to pick up a vege pizza and wing-dings. I thought about it. I love pizza and he's rarely in the mood for it. I had the right servings left over for a vege pizza and wing-dings. So, I went for it. I restricted myself to just one slice, but it made my stomach feel better and a bit fuller. I also had one wing-ding. I wanted to keep eating, but I was already at my limit for the day, except for meat and nuts. I didn't want to eat anymore fried and breaded chicken wings. However, during a movie, my husband had another slice of pizza and a handful of potato chips. I ate his last bite of the crust and one chip. That's some really good self-control for me.
I didn't get to exercising until 7:30, so I wasn't in the mood, but it was the only and best time for me to do it. I continued with the body challenge workouts, doing back, core, and hips. I'm still taking it easy on myself. I feel like I'm burning off fat, even this early in the game. I decided that I'll check my weight halfway through the week just to see whether I'm on track with my weekly weight loss goal.
