Week 1 is behind me and I am feeling great. This week was a big test, as traveling for work has always resulted in a weight gain, accompanied by feeling discouraged and frustrated with my weight. However, the transformation has begun. I managed to complete the entire trip making healthy choices and avoiding gluten. I have to admit, I was concerned how things would play out during the week. I have control over food choices and preparation when home, but when on the road I sometimes have fewer options, particularly with meals that are provided during meetings. I was pleasantly surprised to find that every meal provided at the meeting had choices that were gluten-free and I had plenty to eat. While the decision to avoid gluten is driven by personal preference, I can't help but acknowledge how much better I feel. I feel much more energetic and motivated to continue this path. My next goal for this transformational journey-add more exercise.

I am so proud of myself because I avoided the sugar and didn't feel deprived. Keep up your hard work. It will definitely pay off!
