Girl! that is awesome. You are not alone and know that many of the ladies in your class are probably experience similar feelings. I take a similar class called Rep Reebok at my gym and I started with very light weights, then got injured in class (felt super embarrassed) and when I returned 6 weeks later everyone was so warm and happy to see me. It felt amazing. I had no idea they had taken notice. I now am one of the veterans and I can see my body forming muscles I didn't even know were there. Keep it up and you'll surprise yourself in absolutely amazing ways.
Love it! Joined a fitness/yoga studio last week. I went to yoga and managed not to fall over. I went to Zumba for the first time (and laughed when I couldn't keep up) I kept moving and loved it! Then I was going to go to a "Chisel and Sculpt class, but forgot my new shoes studio shoe (no outside shoes allowed) so I went to Yoga.
Speed up to Sunday morning when I chose "Cardio Blast"... WOW never has my body been through anything like this - Derrick was like a drill sergeant, yelling "encouragement" at the people he knew by his nicknames for them... I was terrified he would yell something at me so I kept pushing myself huffing and puffing, sweat coming out of places I didn't know could sweat - had to walk out of the room for a couple when I thought I was going to throw up - kept moving (slowly) until I pulled myself together and then went back in and finished the class hard.
After class he said "you did it girl, you did it!".
