I officially started being sugar-free on a milestone day (my grandmother's birthday), so that it was easy to remember when I started. So, this is day 7 sugar-free. It's also been about 4 weeks that I've been gluten free, though I did not have any initial weight loss from that, a skin condition I have subsides every time I go gluten-free, so it's for the best that I keep it out of my diet too. I'm very happy with how my new eating habits are changing my body, I feel much less bloated and my tummy is half as poofey as it was before. I was very happy when I did my one week check in on my scale! I don't want to become scale-obsessed, so I'm only allowing once per week check-ins.
I'm now finding what many others who give up sugar say, that all of a sudden it's like your taste buds come alive and real food tastes so much better. Sweet things, like raisons are now too sweet to me. I feel like now that I've made it this far, I can keep this going.
