Note to self before going to dine out, make sure you know where you are going and be mindful of what you're going to eat ahead of time. This weekend we were out and about shopping and we ended up going to eat at Jason's deli. I assumed that would have been a great idea since they have many healthy choices so I wouldnt be "cheating" too bad. I choose to get a half sandwich "chicken panini" and a side salad. When I got home to calculate my calories I realized I had eaten almost 1000 calories!! I came to find out that the half of a sandwich was 410 calories alone. I was so disappointed in myself for not being prepared. So next time I'll be more prepared and mindful so it wont happen again.

Sign in to CommentAt least you did your homework, calculating the calories in your meal afterwards. There are other ways to keep the calories in check when eating out. You could just have a plate of appetizers, or soup, or salad.
