Hi Taya, when you refer to cereal, are you including oats? I'm not one for porridge, but I love the overnight oats I've been making recently - Last thing at night, I put a serving of oats at the bottom of a jar/bowl and then cover in frozen fruit and then natural yoghurt. When I get up in the morning, the oats have been softened by the fruit juices and it's just yummy! Otherwise I like sandwich thins and scrambled eggs (no butter, just a little bit of skimmed milk). Hi Laura, I am not a porridge fan! Bad memories from boarding school when I was a kid. Tosca Reno from eating clean has a fan recipe that is great for overnight oats. My trainer says it is fine to eat in the morning, just watch portion sizes. The recipe is one cup quinoa soaked for 2hrs with one cup steel cut oats. You add cinnamon, vanilla and organic raisins, and three cups water. We subbed the raisins for chopped dates (1/4 cup) and also added a grate of fresh nutmeg. Slow cooked it and served with blue berries. The oats makes about 4 servings at app 187cals ea. The nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla always made it smell like a cake baking.
