I’m feeling pretty happy today because after a big cheat day this week, and some other lovely monthly confounding factors, my weight is starting to go down again after sitting there starting at me with a bigger number than I liked for this last week or so. It’s still iffy on if I will win my bets, but I like this trend I’m seeing. I love that I’m sticking to this and that it feels so sustainable. I’ve had treats, I’ve gone out, I’ve missed workouts, but overall I’m doing incredibly well. So, I’m thinking about that tortoise and the hare :-) slow and steady wins the race.
I have to get my workout in and get ready to go down to visit a friend for the night. I plan to bring myself a nice salad and some healthy oatmeal so I have a dinner and breakfast I can count on to keep myself on track. We are going to have some treats tonight too, but I know that I can stay within a reasonable amount. It’s so great when that silly little scale moves, even just a tad bit, and gives me such a burt of optimism and motivation!
