I too dislike the exercise DVD with all the jumping, etc. I just did the very first day of Jillian Michael's Body Revolution, and it does not have any jumping/ joint jarring moves. Or you can just start with walking. Elliptical also is joint friendly. Keep trying until you find something you like and that your body can tolerate.
