Hey hun, ok so tips that helped me:Try to go to bed and get up at the exact same time everyday. Even if its difficult, remind yourself that this will improve overall body function and after about a week your body will start getting used to it and it will get much easier. As for when to eat, there's a lot of info out there telling you when you should eat, how many times a day what part of the day, before/after workouts etc... listen to your body, and I mean REALLY listen to it. If you feel hungry then eat and make healthy choices, there is all sorts of when you crave this, eat that instead info on the web so look into it. Personally I can't eat before workouts since it always makes me sick so I get in a solid boost of protein 10-25mins after a workout. Congrats to you and your son! For your trip go with veggies and fruits to keep you fuller longer.
