I was on swim team and a lifeguard for years! I love the pool. I gained quite a bit of weight since then and stopped going, but then I lost a little, enough to get myself ok with getting in a swim suit and once I jumped in I realized how much I missed it and even the smell of the chlorine :) I gained weight again and stopped going again until this week, I decided I shouldn't miss out on what I love because of what other people might think when I'm in a swim suit. If anything, it's a good work out option so it's a reason to go to help feel better about yourself, making progress. Life is too short to miss out on things you love.
