It's not so much that the scale is weird as that how weight fluctuates is.
On 25 July, I weighed 188.6 pounds. On 28 July, I weighed 191. I can deal with that because I was a bit careless with eating and exercising over the weekend. My bad.
By the 28th, I was back to eating and working out as usual. By 30 July, I weighed 194. WTF? Obviously, I didn't actually actually gain almost 6 pounds in less than a week. But something made the scale read what it did. Water weight due to higher-than-normal sodium levels? Actual food still in my system? Everything else was pretty consistent between weigh-ins: time of day, clothing, scale used, etc.
I have gradually come down from 194 in the past few days. I worked hard, mostly keeping calorie intake as low as possible and exercising. Today, 2 August, the scale says 186.8. Hello!
Again, obviously I didn't really lose over 7 pounds in 3 days! Again, WTF? But yay! I made my goal weight for this round of my 6-month game. :)
See what I mean? The scale is weird.
