I haven't put up a post for a while, so I thought today would be the day.
First, some stats:
-- As of today, I have lost 58.6 lbs since starting DietBet last April. Yay!
-- As of today, I have lost 123.2 lbs since starting my health and fitness journey in May 2013. Double yay!
-- As of yesterday, I have tracked 456,234 steps this month.
-- As of last week, I fit into size 10 clothing and actually bought myself a couple things in that size.
I've also made a big change to my life: I'm returning to college for a bachelor's degree in Nutrition! I've been thinking about it for a while, and a few weeks ago I met with the chair of the Nutrition Department at the school I wanted to attend. Everything sounded great, I applied, and I'm now enrolled in classes. Woo hoo! This semester is Intro to Chemistry (which includes lab) and Food and Culture (pretty much a "foods of the world" class). The degree requires 3 semesters of Chemistry and 3 semesters of Biology, which should be "fun" as I've never taken classes in either of those areas.
I also plan to audition to sing a duet with my son's fiancee in a concert for the community choir I belong to. We rehearsed our song for the first time, and I think we sounded awesome! We have more work to do to polish up our performance - auditions are mid-February, so we'll have to get working on it!
I have a sign posted on my office wall that says, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." I think I'm living now!! :)
