On my Profile page I answered the question of Favorite Exercise with: sitting on the couch watching exercise (should have said videos) but you get the message.

And I really think it has a lot to do with our move to North Carolina.  See, before the move I was a children's librarian, which I loved, had friends and was a gym rat, in that we were at the gym at 6am every morning or 5 minutes after.  BTW in Florida, on a particular country station at 6am everymorning they played the national athem by a different person each morning. We loved the drive to the gym, which was only 2 miles from our home!  OH and I did aquasize a couple of times a week and many weekends we stopped by the gym to swim laps.  I think, while I wasn't a skinny mini, I was in better shape than I am in now and much more active than I am now.

But then we moved..... and I had a hard time getting even an interview - needless to say the libraries loved to have me volunteer but they hired the youngster right out of college.  On the other hand, I enjoyed being home and being suzie home maker for my husband who does ok at his job. But then I sit... a lot .... in front of the computer. Oh and I can nap any time I want as long as lunch is ready for my dear husband. And I fell halfway down the stairs when we moved from our apt. to our house and really messed up my knee, so more sitting and less walking...... and...... now..... I..... am.... tired.  I am tired all the time.

IN COMES DIETBET! I am frugal so I really don't want to LOSE any money and that keeps me on my diet! YEAH DIET BET!!! and YEAY Diet Better community for motivating me.

With 20 pounds off my frame since staring my first bet in January, I feel better! My knees don't hurt as much.  And I am back to trying some exercise dvds!  My favorite starter DVD -- anything by Leslie Sansone. I mean I can walk! Now I admit after about the 10th time, you hear her voice in your head you might get a little .... wacky? but the dvd's while not intense are perfect for the overweight, tired, 'old' woman that I have allowed myself to become.  I own 4 and I just purchased 2 more! (they should arrive tomorrow) BUT until then her older DVDs are online - a few are and here are some links:

Walk Indoors! Interval (15 min 50sec)   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlEVVzbwnQI

1 Mile Express (16min) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKT2U_hJe1g  I have this one on vhs tape!

iWalk Strong 3 Mile Walk (42min) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuDp6v_oL34  I don't own this one but I watched it once and did it once and I needed my inhaler at the end! haha I am not sure if its still for sale.

I ordered this one: Leslie Sansone: Walk to the Hits Party Songs Clip (2 min clip) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co2PeXn0oJw

and this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itQyH2r5yvY (1min 47sec clip)

They look fun but we will see... still pretty cheap at Amazon Prime.

As I recall, years ago when I first got Walk Away the Pounds, the first week of doing the 1 mile daily kicked my butt, but by keeping with it, i was at one time doing the 2 mile twice daily for a long time!  I am hoping that soon I will be wanting more MORE SWEAT!! (right now my knees are starting to hurt again!)

OH but I found this one and I hope that I will try it in the near future..... not today... but in a couple of weeks.... oh it's not Leslie - but still walking
