Hey everyone!
This is my first blog post on here! I'm looking forward to starting my first DietBet game on March 17 with DanceFitness with Jessica!
A little about my background with health, weight, nutrition, and all that good stuff. Before 2008 I consistently gained weight every year starting in about middle school. I tried diet fads and working out along the way with no success! I was up to 270-280 pounds in 2008 and I started to get symptoms of pre-diabetes according to the doctor! The possible outcome of Type 2 Diabetes scared me to no end. I knew it was time for a change.
For a long period of time I tracked my calories and added exercise, learning more and more about nutrition and fitness along the way. I was down to 180 pounds in 2013. Then I started dating a couple of guys, including my now long term boyfriend of a year! Gained a couple "love pounds" back and now I'm back at around 200 pounds, which absolutely terrified me when I saw that number!
I have a goal of getting to 145 by September and I'm more dedicated than ever!
I'm a vegetarian for moral and health reasons, but I love meat eaters too. It's just a personal choice, which everyone has the right to make! I love weight lifting, body pump classes, running every now and again, I prefer to change up my methods of cardio!
I love having others to motivate me, and money definitely motivates me, so I figured this is the best of both worlds!
