Rebecca, you have to do what is best for you. I'm just the opposite, i join one, go full out for a week or so then lose steam, motivation, whatever. Do you not think that if you reached your personal goal that at that time you would be so proud of yourself and happy as to not fall back into yo-yoing and find it easier to maintain? Just a thought because I know how important it is for so many reason, health mainly. Like Lynda said, you know yourself better than anyone so you do what you need to for yourself =)
