As I sit here in week 3 there are certain things I have noticed that have changed since I started DietBet.
1. In my quest to get over 10,000 steps per day not only am I making conscious decisions on how to get extra steps in like parking further away from the front of a store/my office or taking the long way to the water fountain for a refill, but my lower back pain that I have been plagued with is almost non-existant. Sure it lets me know when I really over do it, but I am able to adjust what I'm doing at the time and move forward. No Aleve/motrin for me in 3 weeks is miraculous!
2. I notice, I'm sure to healthier eating, my fingernails have grown to a length they usually can't grow to before breaking off.
3. My flip flops are almost falling off me, they are so lose.
4. I'm sleeping better. Besides the occasional wake up to use the bathroom (thank you water) I sleep as sound as a baby.
5. The only naps I need are due to the fact I have just had a terrific workout and need to recoup not because I am listless and fatigued due to poor eating habits.
6. My treadmill has no dust accumulation on it or items of clothing :-)
and finally my attitude is addictive. My coworkers have started increasing their water intake and using our given 30 minute exercise break to walk. My best friend is joing the next dietbet with me.
So changes happen that go way beyond the scale, and I'm lovin' it!
