I have practiced Yoga off and on for a few years and honestly didn't stick with it much til this year. I still consider myself a beginner too. There are a couple poses in the regular routine in the book that were really tough when I started out. They are a lot easier now, but are still tough. I haven't finished all the extra routine variations included yet. That being said. I think it's great for beginners and all levels of praxtitioners. Mandy Ingber integrates all sorts of things that make the book a full body and life experience. The Yogalosophy Routine includes yoga poses paired with toning exercises. She included different routine variations for each day. It's really great in my opinion. I got the book on kindle, but I also found an app in the apple App Store. The app was on sale when I got it and it is almost identical to the book. She also has a video. I think it's pretty cheap on amazon too.
