I visited my friend Audrey after a very sweaty workout ( Taebo in youtube). And she introduced me to her herb garden. It was huge! So she game me a giant bag of fresh herbs, among them some basil. She also introduced me to some greens that I had always thought were clovers, but turns out taste like lime. Delicious.
For the Pesto:
6 tablespoons of virgin olive oil
4 liters of fresh basil leaves and stems, not packed
3-4 cloves of garlic
1/3 cups of tahini
1/3 to 1/2 cup of water
It was hard work for the blender, but it made it. I would have used pine nuts, or maybe walnuts but I had only tahini, it worked, although it had the characterisitic slight bitter taste of tahihini. I could not notice it in the pasta, though.
The Pasta:
Boil some pasta of your choice, I had Organic brown rice shells
for every 1/2 cup of dry pasta:
1 tablespoon of pesto
1/3 cup of yello corn
1/3 cup red grapes sliced in half
1 marble cheese string ( haha, this is what I had in hand) it could be any kind of cheese.
= delicious and only 387.3 calories (including the pasta mentioned above)
