Today-, July 21, 2014.

I just started Diet Bet yesterday, and it feels like it just might be the new challenge/motivation I need to maybe break through this plateu I am on. I have been so fortunate to have had a trainer who has helped me lose 113 pounds so far. It has been a series of ups and down- literally. ;) 

I'm fortunate to be in a "Wellness Group" with 7 other woman who all have the same goals. We like to go to water aerobics, or to the gym and then trade off eating a healthy lunch at one another's house. In the winter we eat and then drink tea, and watch "Downton Abbey".  In the spring and summer we do "field trips", hiking, flower stores, movies, etc. We mostly just get together to talk and encourage each other. 

It has never been a straight linear progress.  Just when I think I know the formula, It changes. All I know for sure is that I can't give up. I have to keep up the good fight day after day. It has gotten easier in many respects- choosing good food, portion control and self discipline.  Some days life is an uphill battle. Other days it is full of joy. Lets hope we can all use this program to motivate ourselves to choose joy, choose health and choose to be a better person. We can do it!
