Non-scale victory of the week!

The victory is being able to handle the stress and curves life has thrown my way without turning to food. I've been tempted and I've resisted.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Lately there have been days I haven't hardly gotten steps in. Always some, but sometimes far less than typical for me. I need to make sure to move more in the morning since you never know what the day will bring.

I find myself still drawn far too much to junk. Cookies, cakes, ice cream, chips, you name it.

Ever since my job changed I've had a tough time getting my steps in. I get up and go to bed at the same time, but my motivation is just not there. And then there is the whole Covid 19 mess. Considering all that has gone on in my world since mid-February, I'm actually doing great! I'm up ten pounds from where I was a year ago. That is something I need to work on at some point. But I'm also not "out of control." I still fit in my clothes and I keep things in check to not weigh any more than I do right now. Not ideal but for now, it isn't so bad. Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to better days.

I pushed this week and got more green showing in my step log on fitbit. Can't say that has been the case for quite some time. So I guess the victory this week is my returning to my old ways. Good ways.

I did have a cookie snack last night that I probably should have avoided. I need to work on resisting temptations.

I worked the local fall festival Saturday. I was there from 6 till 4. Our stand sold baked goods. I resisted eating them!

This week was up and down. I need to find a way to keep things more level.

This is hard! I have reached the point I can tell I've put on weight - it isn't just a number on the scale anymore. I am back to eating like I did when I was really losing. October is going to be my month!

After I got home from work tonight I changed clothes and pulled a bunch of weeds. I had to think about how much easier it is form me now vs before I started this journey.

So much! We were on vacation this week and things totally derailed. I ate like I did when I was much more heavy and the scales show it.

I've got to remind myself that I can't eat whatever I want whenever I want. A weekly treat is fine. A daily treat, or more than one a day, isn't. Time to get back into game mode before I undo all the good I did!
