Hi Orli, you're asking about emotional eating. I found out that I was one last year and didn't even realize it. I had to deprogram myself from doing this. Go to this link: http://www.doctorjenn.com/resources/handouts/
and click the link "Hunger Scale & Food Log Homework".
The hunger scale (and deprogramming) works like this: eat only when you are at level 3 (first moments of hunger) and then stop when you are at level 5 (neutral) or 6 (satisfied). I followed this routine and check my hunger level with each bite for each meal. It was truly incredible how much was left on my plate initially. Also, you may find initially that your hunger may not correspond to the timing of the 3 meals in a day. That's normal - just keep following the simple rule and eventually your body will adjust. wishing you success on this DietBet.
