Try to switch up your routine at the gym, if you don't already. Don't do the same thing twice. And if you aren't feeling all that great, skip the gym, maybe take a short walk, and get some rest. Never underestimate the power of rest - especially when you aren't 100%!

Push through it! I know you can do it. I've seen your stubborn side :)

Have you looked at carb-cycling ( more specifically the turbo version - http://heidipowell.net/2724/carb-cycling-the-turbo-cycle/ )? Maybe caloric monitoring is not enough. I saw a big push in loss after switching over to that mentality. Don't get me wrong, I am still no one to get nutrition advice from, however, it worked for me.

Keep in mind, too, when you are sick, your body holds on to "junk". Hopefully it will all break soon!!

Oh that's rough-I am glad you are feeling better. I don't get sick often but I guess it depends. I can eat comfort foods at anytime and that's what got me into this shape. I have lots of neices and nephews so lately we have had lots of birthday parties. I make sure a water bottle is in hand and gravitate to the veggie tray. Best of luck to you~~

Definitely stick to the veggie tray or fruit tray, and indulge in a little dip for a treat. It's tough though. It REALLY is. I love cheese and cracker trays. My weakness.

Things don't normally get to me. I have always prided myself on my ability to cope with extreme loads of stress. Maybe it was my service time in the USMC. Maybe it was working under the pressure of unrealistic project due dates. Maybe it was the worry associated with being the sole bread winner to a household of seven. Maybe it was running a restaurant staff of ninety. I'm not quite sure when it happened; but at some point, I became a stress eater. For some, their satisfaction came in the form of a beer or glass of wine at the end of a long day. My saving grace was food: not just a little snack, but a meal. The sad part is I knew what I was doing as I was doing it. I couldn't stop myself then and I blew up into this mess that I am in now.

I remember my first meeting with our company WW group; it was your last weigh-in. That seems like forever ago.

Kelly, you are a strong and determined woman that gives more than 100% to every task. This small challenge is a no-brain-er for you! You have already proved yourself (more than once).
