If you are strength training it is most likely water weight. I gained 4 lbs after I started lifting but then lost the 4 lbs and an additional 4 lbs 3 weeks later. Just keeping doing what you are doing and be patient.

Hang in there! Do you log your food intake? If not, it might help you better identify some specifics. I find when I log my food and make sure I get all my water in, I have much better success with the scale.
