I wanted to respond to your actual post, but didn't want to start up an argument with the "nutritionist" chick. You had it partially right by doing the low carb/high fat, but I wouldn't know for sure without knowing more details. While it is strongly going against Conventional Wisdom, I don't agree with her suggestions for daily carb %s...and there's a reason that "low carb" always causes weight loss. I think the more important point is to eliminate the right kind of carbs, and do NOT eliminate the wrong kind of fats. Get rid of bad "simple" carbs like grains, flour, potatoes, and refined sugars, as well as processed fats like vegetable oil or trans fats, but make sure you're eating plenty of vegetables & fruit, a legit amount of protein, and a decent amount of unprocessed "healthy" fats like from nuts,seeds, coconut, avocado, as well as saturated fats from high quality grass-fed/pastured animals.
