I remember making myself 300-calorie meal/snackpacks in little ziplocks and making sure I only had 5 in a day. Breakfast was healthy cereal, then a palmful of mixed nuts, then a lean cuisine (or similar home-made lunch), then a protein shake, then a small meal. For the first two weeks it was the only way to stave off hunger.
