I want to write this down so I have something to focus on the next few weeks! The end of this dietbet will be the start of training for my next marathon (Marine Corps). I'm going to try and keep my goals in these four week blocks and keep rolling dietbets for the forseeable future.

 

My goals the next four weeks:

  • Lose 6 pounds
  • 30 minutes of cardio daily
  • 5 minutes strength training daily
  • Cut my alcohol intake (ok to go out occasionally, no buying any beer or other alcohol to take home though)
  • Drink at least 8 cups of water a day

I realize I'm not going to get this every single day but I think 90% of the time will be reasonable. I just downloaded the app "Daily Goals" which I'm using to keep track of these items daily. I need to make sure I update this blog post after the bet is over to see how I did.

Trip to New Orleans this month too, that may have an impact. It will be important to not get too out of control there, but I do want to have fun and try foods. Luckily that trip is pretty early in the diet bet so I have some leeway there.

Also, I want to continue to post my plans for the weekend. That's almost always where I sabotage my diet and writing down what I'm planning to do usually keeps me accountable.

Slowly but surely...
