Since I started weighing my food a few months ago, I found that a LOT of packages are off. The worst offense were these little red-skinned potatoes...the package said that a serving size was "about 5," but when I weighed them, it ended up being 2 or 3 depending on their size. I know they can't change the packaging every time they grow a new crop, and I know some potatoes will be larger than others, but double the actual serving size is a big difference! Also, companies are allowed to get away with "x amount" of a lot of things in their products, not just trans fat (like bugs, rat droppings, mold, etc.). These are the things that make me want to go live on a farm somewhere and produce all of my own food!
