I also have a lot of health issues and I had doctors telling me I should diet when I hardly ate much at all, the reason I was getting fat were health reasons such as hypothyroidism and also had gut lining issues apart from being allergic to a long list of food. Doctors didn't believe that food is not the reason I'm fat. In the end I got so frustrated that I really started to eat chocolate and sweets as a comfort food. Now I am trying to change for me. It won't be easy but it's a start. Don't give up! If you are trying to your health issues you are already doing a big step for yourself. And good job on refusing to take diet pills. What doctor suggests such a thing?! I wish you the best of luck and no matter how hard it may seem don't give up!
