I got back from my trip with work yesterday afternoon, and immediately started eating Keto. I want to get back on track as quickly as possible!
having spent 3 1/2 days eating a lot more carbs than I am used to, I was really resistant to do a non-official weigh-in, as I was pretty sure I was going to have gained or lost nothing at all. Of course I know that if I listen to that little voice in my head who tells me things like, "go ahead and skip that walk", or "well, you are already over your calories for the day. Might as well keep going!" then I would get nothing done at all.
I am happy to report that I did jump on the scale today, and contrary to that little voice, I did have a loss this week! I managed to take off 3.4 pounds, which is awesome considering more than half my week was spent not eating according to my meal plan. I am pretty sure that all of the walking, and maybe even the yoga I tried to help balance things out with the food.
I am also currently looking at yoga classes, and seeing as I live in a major city where there are tons and times of yoga studios, there is a lot to choose from. Budget wise, I don't have a lot of extra money to throw around at this time and it seems like the most budget conscious decision would be to try out some of the yoga classes at the gym I already belong too. I know it's not a yoga studio per se, but at least it would give me time to figure out if I'm going to stick with yoga as a way to heal my body, without spending a ton of money.
I now have 19 days to lose another 3.6 pounds to meet my goal for this round. Having realized that even with all those monkey wrenches I'm still well on my way, I am confident that I'm going to kill the 3% goal.
The numbers associated with round two and round three are areas where I always find I have a mental block with my weight loss, and I'm going to have to double down on checking in, reading posts, blogging for myself, and generally maintaining a good level of consistency instead of hiding my head in the sand and undoing all the good work I did over month. Thusly, I am a part of this transformer challenge!
