the ratio you gave is that per meal? there were too many numbers and ratios, I am confused. I have started my transition phase today but I cant have added fat yet and I am limited to protein, veggies and a fruit. I will be stuck there for two weeks then I add in another meal. I am in my planning phase.

That is interesting. The body does need fat, but the good fat. vegies and fruit, so definately not low carb either. Well I guess berries are low carb, if I remember correctly. I guess you could do low carb. Download a lowcarb food list online somewhere. and then stick to the fruit and vegetables on it... one thing though, try to keep your net carbs (less the fiber) to under 30, best if you can get to 20 if I remember correctly. AND watch your blood sugar! b/c low carb is what I used to get my husband's blood sugars in control. ;-)

thanks, I am thinking this is just to get our bodies used to digesting solid food again. We have been on liquids for the 12 weeks. we do have a list of veggies and fruit and while we think of them as carbs the program doesn't, we don't add in grains and starchy veggies (ok read potatoes but carrots and peas are ok, lol) for a couple of weeks. Our second week of transition (actually the third when the change happens we can also add dairy, mmmmm coffee with cream!!!) is when we add in the grains. it is a little confusing but I am sure that I will be able to handle it. last night was lean black forest ham with garden salad and raspberries and I have to tell you my body was like "oooooo so good!!" although it wasn't quite the calories it should have been it was gooooood!!!! lol
