Note to self: Take a morning shit before I start my run.
Noted :check:
Seriously though, guys. I didn't think I was gonna make it. I was up there on the treadmill blasting out my last 10 minutes of my walk/jog and I was debating if it would be worth it to take a break to go to the bathroom. In the end, I decided against it because I didn't want to feel like I just threw away the progress that the treadmill was showing me. Everything worked out fine, thankfully.
But did I want to run today? Heck yeah I did. But it sucked starting out. My heart rate went from 0-100 real quick and my legs felt lazy and for the first couple minutes I didn't think that my body would be able to keep on going like I wanted it to. But I persisted. I ignored that annoying little voice in the back of my head that encouraged me to take it easy and walk for most of the time. I'm really proud of myself for doing that today and showed my mind what I'm capable of if I just keep on trucking on.
So I've been weighing myself pretty much daily - which, I know most people don't do - and I noticed I'm stuck on 240.8, which is a little aggravating. I've lost like 5 pounds last week and suddenly hit a plateau when I joked about hitting a plateau 1 lb away from my goal. That's the last time I do that again :eyeroll: I think what's really setting me back is late night snacking - and the lack of snacks leading up to dinner time. I always come home absolutely starving, so I eat way more than I anticipate - even if I meal prep. I think I'm going to mix up my meals and maybe integrate more snacks throughout the day. I'm not sure if I want to use MFP again but maybe I'll look into it.
But anyway everyone ~ KEEP ON GOING! You're here for a reason, and whether or not you finished your workout you're still doin great:) Remember that your mind quits before your body ever does, and you're way more capable and strong than you realize! Happy 4th of July! <3
