I like having people over. At this stage of my busy life, I don't really enjoy cooking for a crowd, but when I know I have to do it because we're having company, and I clear everything else off my calendar to prepare, then there's some joy in it. Being with family and friends can be a healthy, uplifting experience. A blessing.
That being said, we've had guests, and have been guests over the last few days for a few different family celebrations. All good reasons for gathering, but as a result, and this is where the 'curses' come into play, it throws off my regular schedule of both workout out and eating. I'm not going to get down on myself, because I can't change the past, I can only do something different going forward.
Today I get back on track with my mindfulness. One meal at a time. Staying in the moment when eating. Keeping my goals in mind...including wanting to win my Diet Bet!
