I hear it. I've been on both sides of that fence. When I was younger, I was never skinny but I was still a reasonable weight, and if I put on a few pounds I could lose EITHER by just eating less for a while, OR by getting a little more active. Later on, I found I had to do BOTH. But more recently, I not only have to do both, but I have to do a LOT of both. Major bummer. But, at a certain point, I've found I do better when I don't let it get to me ... feeling envious of the easier time the genetics-blessed and/or youth-blessed have it doesn't seem to help my own motivation any -- if anything, it takes me down. So I've just come to enjoy encouraging my skinny friends who are also on DietBet; helping to keep them from getting to where I've been! After all, as they age they'll be less prepared for what it does to them. You can become a resource - the fount of wisdom, the voice of experience, to whom they'll look for guidance, eventually. Think of yourself as a role model. :)
