Is the third day really a charm when it comes to dieting?
I find that if I've been successful through the first two days of a diet, it's almost automatic that the third day is out to get me. I have to be on guard today! It's crucial! The third day seems to be waiting, almost lurking, from the moment I wake up, in the dark corner of the kitchen. It can sense that moment of weakness when I'm looking at something that my lean husband has no problem eating just one of (how does he do that?) It knows when I stare at empty calories and usually wastes no time pouncing down on me with uncontrollable urges to stuff my face.
Not this time! This third day WILL be a charm!
I'm going to work out, (as soon as I get off this computer) meet a friend for coffee, do some window shopping, wash the car, mow the lawn, pick up some leaves, and just keep busy. If that doesn't work, my back-up plan is to print out my weigh-in photo and tape it to my mouth!
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
Go Get 'Em!
