Hmmm... I can't find the unofficial weight-in button... Does anyone else know where it is?
Anyways, do you want to lose 3-5 in 5 days without an effort on your part, except to have fun? Go hiking in the Colorado Rockies! That's what we did last week to celebrate my 55th birthday.
We own a condo in Estes Park, Co, so we visit often...hope to retire there someday.
I always come back weighing less, which is awesome, but this time, since I was watching what I was eating along with the hiking, I was able to nudge past a weight that I've been fighting against for months! 135!
We hiked almost every day, but the most impressive one was on the last day. It's called the Twin Owl Loop. It was over 12 miles long with elevations upwards of 9,000 ft. The views were spactacular! I didn't feel like I was working out at all. The day could not have been more gorgeous. It took 6 hours. My Armour 39 heart rate monitor said that I burned over 2,700 calories. YEAHS!! My "UP" Jawbone step counter said that I had over 40,000 steps. (not sure if that's absolutely accurate, but I'll take even half of that!)
Two weeks down, two weeks to go! If any of you are stuck and need to drop those last two or three pounds before the final weigh-in, give the Rockies a try! ;)
