When it comes to the Holiday season, I think way too many people are stressed out. To some extent, this is unavoidable. However, I think most of us add too much to the stress levels. Take a good, hard, brutally honest look at your season. What stresses you out? Where are your time crunches? Now, ask yourself why you do these things. Ask yourself would everything be ruined FOR YOU if you changed them a bit or just didn't do them at all. What would you like to add that would make you happier this season?
Example - Christmas lights, I detest untangling and hanging them. I love making people smile. So, I'm not hanging lights, but I am going to take the kids to a nursing home to hand out candy canes.
You may end up making hard decisions and break long standing traditions. You may piss some people off. Decide what's best for you and your family. Cut out the stuff holding you back from enjoying the season.
