Disappointed but not discouraged

Don't feel so bad. People have to have the drive and desire to change themselves. You can't make them want to change. Wanting it and doing it are two different things. So many people want to lose the weight, but doing it is a different story. All you can do is provide a little nudge and hope they will take the bait, but if not, don't take it personally. I think you did a great job trying to help them find motivation.
