It's been quite a week for me

Wow, that was quite a week. I know either my menstrual period or several days of a sleep deficit can be enough to send me over the edge. You had both of those things going on, plus daily frustrations and a sick pup. It's no wonder you are feeling defeated. I can't help but think that after a couple night's of good sleep (plus fewer hormone surges as you move through your menstrual cycle), you will feel a million times better. I'm glad you are figuring out alternatives to fit in exercise. I know "they" say that weight loss is 90% diet, but in my opinion, the goal isn't just weight loss. The goal is overall health and well-being, and exercise is a very important component of that.

Thanks! Yes I am 31. I was born in 83. Honestly it didn't start getting better until I had surgery twice to remove endometriosis, adhesions, and one tube and ovary. I also have an issue needing my IUD replaced because it's too low in my uterus. However, my insurance won't cover it at this time. I either need to save the money or try to find supplemental insurance. I really should take the time to look into it soon. I think that's causing some of the extra pain this time. I haven't heard about estrogen in fat cells before. But they makes sense with why the flow is extra heavy this time too. I am hoping you're right and as I get older and lose more weight it gets back in check somewhat.

Well, I'm only a few years older than you, and I think things had started to get better for me by the time I was 31. My problems were all hormone related (no endometriosis, adhesions, etc.). Birth control pills helped balance them out, but about 7 years ago I got a blood clot and had to stop taking them. About the time I hit 30, things started to calm down and become more regular. Still not perfect, but a lot better compared to my teens and 20s. I still have a lot of acne, and my dermatologist said it's hormonal so she can't treat it (unless I were to go on birth control pills again). I'm hoping that once I get to a normal weight and maintain it, my acne and menstrual cycle will be more normal. I hope the same for you! By the way, I looked into getting an IUD and heard that a possible side effect is more painful and heavier periods, so you are right that it could be part of the problem.
