I Can & I Will
I'm glad that the holiday food temptations are finally out of sight & I'm very proud of myself for maintaining the same weight these past two months, thinking before eating at parties & drinking lots of water. I remember back in my heavier times, I always thought that it was okay to gain those extra 5-10 lbs over the holidays. I often called it my "extra padding for the winter", it was just another excuse for me to eat junk food. That way of thinking is forever gone :)
I flipped back to my first page when I started journaling at the beginning of September - I was almost 180 lbs & barely moving. I'm currently 162 lbs & have another 11 lbs to lose before May 3rd to be an official dietbet winner. I know I can do it. I'm keeping focused, positive & strong!
What's New
- I haven't hopped on my bicycle since Summertime so yesterday, I decided to go for a ride. I felt an immediate difference, it was so much easier to ride carrying 15 lbs less of me. No more huffing, puffing & cursing up those hills.. I didn't even need to set it to the lowest gear. It was fun!
- I've heard a lot of good things about whey so I decided to pick up a couple of bottles of Designer Whey protein powders - I've been making a shake every morning with coconut water/nonfat milk. It tastes good, helps keep me full/energized in the morning & it's low calorie. http://www.livestrong.com/article/318068-what-are-the-benefits-of-protein-powder-for-women/
- I've finished my Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred workout videos & can see/feel the results. I'm now going to do more kettleball exercises and just purchased the Tracy Anderson Method Metamorphosis workout videos to switch things up.
