Stepping Into the Abyss

Reggie, Marcie said it well... the abyss is seductive in its darkness, wooing is with its calls of comfort and familiar patterns. It takes great strength to climb out, and recognize the danger there. I give you such credit for hearing the need in yourself for something more, something healthier and under your control. Know that we all face our abyss, and it is closer some days than others for all of us. As a 'family' we help protect each other and comfort each other and understand each other so that abyss loses its power over us. Once we engage with others in the 'family', the call of the abyss lessens, slowly but surely. I'm glad you have returned. Hugs to you.
