I just completed a three day 12 hour/day work project. That's a "yay" for making some money, but a "yikes" for this dietbet and my ultimate goal of 30 pounds by my daughter's summer wedding. My average steps per day these past three day were a pathetic 2500. I did watch my food intake but I know this aging body only loses weight when it's moving and doing strength training along with cardio. The strength training has been nada this past week and my cardio has been nonexistent. So. I'm going to go brave the scale for the first time since I started this dietbet and see what the scale thinks. But, before I hop on that scale, if it's not a good number, I'm choosing not to let it get me down but instead focus on today and get a good sweaty workout in this afternoon.
So..........here goes.......unbelievable.......I have dropped 2 pounds in the first 8 days, including the three sedentary days. Okay, I'm glad and I'm reveling in this small victory. But now, it's a new week, new weight loss goal, but same word....determined! And I still plan to get that sweaty workout in this afternoon. Feel free to cheer me on. I appreciate any encouragement and uplifting counsel.
