Very cool. Dogs are awesome. :) I'm also up to get one myself. Haven't found the right one yet in any shelter I visited. And I absolutely want one from a shelter, not from a breeder.

I wouldn't decline getting one from a breeder because I think all the dogs out there need good homes. However, I am more inclined to look at shelters first. I know they are very lonely and sad in a shelter. I volunteered at one shelter when I was in college and have thought about starting to volunteer there again. It just breaks my heart. The last fur-baby I had pass away in December was adopted from that shelter. The one I am going to meet Saturday is at a different shelter but about the same distance from my home. I would pretty much take one from anywhere if it felt like the right match for me.... I just am excited that hopefully I can give her a good home soon!
