Since the scale wasn't moving, we decided to UP THE ANTE, so to speak and joined the YMCA. I did a spin class yesterday and this morning I got up for something called TOTAL STRENGTH LIGHT.
Guess what? My left knee doesn't work so well! I can't do squats or basically any weight baring bendy work on that knee in particular! OUCH. So I gave up and went to the weight room to do some nautilus leg work. I will go back to the class next week; it's only two days a week.
Another problem I had was getting down on the ground and up again. There was a movement where she had us go down, think downward facing dog, then walk our hands out to a a plank, then, try not to laugh, turn a little and reach up to the sky with one hand then repeat other side before walking our hands back up to a standing position. I am the walrus ('60s people out there?) but no wait, I think walruses can do that! I am the elephant! yes... that's the mammel!
I guess my homework will be getting down on the ground and getting up again, with ease and style and not begging for a crane and pain killers. I don't think the language I was thinking should be said outloud at the ymCa!! haha
Tomorrow I will try some group fitness class called INTERVALS. Sounds like fun doesn't it. Maybe I will take my advil BEFORE the class!
