Well, I have been overweight my whole life. What's so crazy is that I was never not an active kid. I played every sport, played varsity softball all thru highschool, and worked out a lot. I guess my food never matched how much I was doing in exercise, and I just continued to gain weight. I moved to a new town to go to college, and once I did that I gained some more weight, and now here I am. I am trying to get into the Air Force and in order to do that I have to drop a GOOD amount of weight. I weigh 320 right now and have to make it down to about 170. I know I can do it, it is just really hard. I work overnights and have school so it's difficult to always have the energy. I want to lose this weight and I really hope by doing these challenges It will help me and push me in the right direction! :) Lets go!!

Sign in to CommentI for one completely believe in you. I heard a popular Trainer and Ultra Athlete Vinnie Tortorich once say "Diet first, Exercise second." This little line help me immensely. My starting weight was actually a bit more and have similar a similar goal. You can do it. I also for a time in my career had to work nights for a 3 year period, the shred of advice I can provide in that scenario is to treat your sleeping time as Sacred! Your sleep schedule is so important and I might say even more important for those that work 3rd shifts. Good luck, stay strong, and keep smiling!

Sounds like a tough schedule ... this is where planning and preparing ahead of time will help you a lot, so you don't find yourself hungry, without healthy food, near vendo-land. If you have a smart phone, I recommend using an app to track your food and exercise. I use LoseIt and others here use My Fitness Pal. Tracking really, really helps me.
